Deer Haven Park Elopement // Marc + Elyssa

When Alyssa reached out to me over email about her and Marcs Downtown Delaware Courthouse and Deer Haven Park Elopement I knew right away that they were one of my favorite kinds of couples. They were down to earth, laid back and madly in love with each other.
I love being able to help my couples plan their Elopement to make sure it’s 100% true to who they both are. Whether that’s a backstage Cincinnati brunch elopement or a beautiful fall deer haven park elopement, I want you to have everything you’ve dreamed of.
We met for coffee to plan out their big day. They wanted a simple courthouse ceremony in downtown Delaware and then to celebrate and adventure with each other afterwards. On the day of they did a short “I do” at the courthouse and tied the knot. Everyone there was so wonderful to all of us that were there. You could just tell how much they loved each other throughout the whole day. It was a beautiful October in Ohio with the leaves glowing and the crisp autumn air where it’s not too cold just right. They took a stroll through the nearby campus and took a moment to let it all sink it and be with each other.
If you’re eloping I highly recommend giving yourself time to just be in the moment together. Letting the day go with the flow and taking it all in together really allows my couples to feel present and have so much fun.
We then went to Deer Haven Park (okay talk about one of my favorite places just from the name!) It was so beautiful with endless winding trails and meadows that had that autumn glow. It was a really nice fall day for an elopement. They brought with them a cooler of champagne and dessert to celebrate after. Also fun fact about these two cuties; Marc has waited a lot of years for his BMW. They absolutely love it! So we made sure to take a dip in front as the sun set. I am so thankful to have been able to capture their beautiful day.
